Singer Davido has responded to former President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, who accused him of not performing at an event in Warri, Delta State, despite being paid a hefty sum of $94,600. Pinnick had claimed that the organizers even arranged a private jet costing $18,000 for Davido, but he failed to show up, prompting them to find a replacement artist, Shallipopi.
In a sharp retort, Davido vowed not to refund the money but instead pledged to double it and donate it to a football charity organization. He labeled Pinnick as “Mr. Dream Crusher” and alleged that many Nigerian footballers had seen their dreams shattered due to his greed.
NOBODY CAN STOP ME FROM PERFORMING-ANYWHERE IN NIGERIA … WARRI I WILL SEE YOU SOON . ❤️

Taking to his Instagram story, Davido stated, “If I’m returning any money, I’ll return it to any football charity organization. In fact, I will double it… Mr. Dream Crusher… imagine how many Nigerian footballers have had their dreams crushed because one person insists on living in Ikoyi by force.”
This clash between Davido and Pinnick began when the singer allegedly failed to perform at the Warri Again festival despite accepting an advance payment of $94,600 and the booking of a private jet worth $18,000 for him. Pinnick had expressed his intent to teach Davido a lesson and emphasized that the singer should not let his success make him arrogant, especially when compared to artists like Burna Boy, who has Warri roots.
