Black Sherif clinched his first BET award for “Best International Flow” at the 2023 Hip-Hop Awards, marking a significant milestone in his career.
Black Sherif outshone nine other talented rappers to claim the award. His competitors included Aka and K.O from South Africa, Sampa The Great from Zimbabwe, and other nominees like Gazo (France), Central Cee (UK), J Hus (UK), Major Rd (Brazil), Ninho (France), and Tasha & Tracie (Brazil).
Although Black Sherif received his initial nomination for ‘Best International Flow’ last year, he narrowly missed out on the award, which was won by Benjamin Epps.
In the 2022 edition of this prestigious awards scheme, Black Sherif found himself in esteemed company, competing alongside Benjamin Epps (France), Central Cee (UK), Blxckie (South Africa), Haviah Mighty (Canada), Knucks (UK), Le Juiice (France), Nadia Nakai (Zimbabwe), and Tasha & Tracie (Brazil).
The awards show was recorded in Atlanta on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, and is set to be broadcast live on October 10th, allowing fans to witness Black Sherif’s well-deserved victory.
