Changing Tides at Chelsea FC: The Quiet Departure of Bruno Saltor

Chelsea Football Club has undergone significant changes since the new ownership, led by Todd Boehly, assumed control in July 2022.

Since Roman Abramovich’s departure, Stamford Bridge has witnessed a substantial exodus of players and managers. The most recent departure is Bruno Saltor, who served as Graham Potter’s assistant but chose to remain with Mauricio Pochettino.

The Telegraph has confirmed that Saltor discreetly parted ways with the club just four months after it was announced that he would be joining Pochettino’s coaching staff. Reports suggest that Chelsea opted to keep this decision under wraps to avoid exacerbating the prevailing sense of unease at Stamford Bridge.

This development leaves two individuals who arrived at Chelsea from Brighton with Graham Potter still on the club’s roster: Ben Roberts, who was recently promoted to head of goalkeeping, and Kyle Macaulay, who continues his role as a data analyst.

Saltor’s exit is emblematic of the tumultuous year Chelsea has experienced. He even took charge of a Blues game against Liverpool after Potter’s seven-month stint as the club’s manager came to an end.
