“Asake Deserved His Award” Lady Cath Speaks As Rema, Asake, Arya Starr, Win Big For 2023 Headies



The 16th edition of the Headies Awards ceremony that celebrates Afrobeats and African culture took place on Sunday, September 4, at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center in Atlanta, Georgia for the second consecutive year.
Rema was the biggest winner of the night going home with three gongs for the Best Male Artiste, Digital Artiste Of The Year and African Artiste of the Year.
Asake won two gongs which are the coveted Next Rated Award and Album of the Year for ‘Mr. Money With The Vibe’ while Burna Boy picked up the Afrobeats Single of the Year for ‘Last Last’ and the Best R&B Single for ‘For My Hand’.
Other winners include, Odumodublvck who won the highly coveted Rookie Of The Year award and Best Rap Single. Best Male Vocal Performance went to Wande Coal, Best Video Director was Director K for Calm Down, Best Rap Album
