The composition of President Bola Tinubu‘s cabinet became clearer yesterday with the screening of 14 ministerial nominees by the Senate.
The exercise was characterized by drama, revelations, and denials when some of the nominees were quizzed on the authenticity of their age and academic, and national service records.
A few were however simply asked to take a bow and go. The screened nominees were Senator Abubakar Kyari (Borno), Prof. Abubakar Momoh (Edo), Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Prof. Joseph Terlumun Utsev (Benue), Senator John Owan Enoh (Cross River), Bello Muhammad (Sokoto) and ex-Governor Mohammed Abubakar (Jigawa).
Others are Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar (Bauchi), Senator Abubakar Danladi (Taraba), Uju-Ken Ohaneye (Anambra), Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (Ondo), Dr Betta Edu (Cross River), Mrs. Imaan Ibrahim (Nasarawa) and Nkeiruka Onyejeocha (Abia).
