Five months after the arrival of daughter Esti Maxine Stephens, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have welcomed their fourth child via surrogate.
The celebrity couple shocked their Instagram followers by revealing their son Wren Alexander’s birth on Wednesday, June 28.
While John Legend shared the newborn’s name as Wren Alexander Stephens alongside some photos, Chrissy opted for a much more personal post.
She acknowledged that she has always wanted four children. However, after losing their son Jack in 2020, she and the singer reached out to a surrogacy agency, as she was unsure if she’d be able to carry any more babies on her own.
Though, Chrissy Teigen wanted to try to carry just one more time, which successfully resulted in her welcoming Esti.
Still, she and John connected with a surrogate, Alexandra, who was a perfect match for the family. Eventually, while carrying Esti, she learned that Alexandra had become pregnant with their little boy.
She also wrote, “Just minutes before midnight on June 19th, I got to witness the most beautiful woman, my friend, our surrogate, give birth amidst a bit of chaos, but with strength and pure joy and love.”
