SOME civil servants in Zamfara State yesterday attended special prayers at the Eid mosque in Gusau, the state capital.
Workers flocked to the mosque at 10 a.m. to seek divine intervention over their salaries.
The workers said they had not been paid since January and were struggling to fulfill their obligations.
“Many of us have been pushing to be beggars, unable to eat one square meal a day. So, this prayer session is specially meant to commit our dear governor, Head of Service, members of the House of Assembly, and all those concerned, for God to enable them to have compassion on us.
