The song’s lyrics inspire listeners to celebrate triumph and perseverance with joy and gratitude. CKay’s melodic sensibilities, which he first showcased in his debut album “Sad Romance” released in September 2022, are highlighted in “Hallelujah,” marking his first official release in 2023.
CKay’s breakthrough hit “Container,” an Afrobeat song infused with South African gwara gwara dance influences, was released on March 2, 2018, and received extensive airplay. It was distributed by Chocolate City, the same label through which he released his second extended play “CKay the First” on August 30, 2019. The EP features “Love Nwantiti,” a popular song that broke records in Nigeria.
