Reno Omokri, a contentious media figure, tweeted an unexpected plea to the Nigerian government, asking them to forbid the importation of human hair and the sale of it there.
He claims that the remedy for Nigeria’s long-standing “inferiority complex” is a bitter one. It is done, he continued, in order to prevent Nigerian women from resembling “very poor copies of European, Latina, and Asian women.”
He stated that human hair importation is crazy and depletes Nigeria’s foreign reserves because, according to him, millions of dollars worth of human hair is imported annually. He went further to allege that most of such hair is unwashed, untreated human hair from Bangladesh.
