Pastor Mayowa Ijisesan also known as Pastor May is the Resident Pastor of Kingsword International Church, Chicago. She also serves as Executive Vice President, of Strategy for KingsWord Ministries an international ministry with churches and outreaches in North America, Europe, and AfricaShe is the visionary and convener of the Annual KingsWord Women’s Conferences in Chicago, London, and Lagos. Her other outreaches include a ministry to pastors’ wives – Dear Pastors Wife, a ministry to professionals – Career Resources, and a ministry to Singles – Reset with Pastor May. Mayowa received her formal training in electrical engineering at the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma, and Cornell University, Ithaca where she earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees respectively.
She started her career as an electrical engineer with Altera, a Semiconductor company in Silicon Valley, California. In the year 2007, Mayowa started a Business Intelligence consulting firm that helped top-level executives of manufacturing firms in the US and Canada in making better business decisions guided by their data. In 2017, Mayowa closed her consultancy to step into full-time ministry. Mayowa has written two books – Wisdom for the Workplace and The Supernatural Woman. She is currently working on the third titled – The Pastor’s Wife. She is married to Dr. Kay Ijisesan, head of KingsWord and an apostle to the nations.
