The ‘Zazoo Zeh’ crooner was in the public eye on Tuesday after he appeared to have resisted the police attempt to arrest him.
The 29-year-old also referred to himself as “a federal government liability” while challenging the police officers.
In a statement on Wednesday, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, force public relations officer, described Portable’s actions as “unruly.”
The police PRO said the singer exhibited “irrational behavior” at police officers carrying out their legal duty.
Adejobi added that the NPF will investigate his actions, which he described as “criminal and punishable by the criminal laws of Nigeria.”
“Habeeb Okikiola popularly known by his stage name Portable, in a viral video, was seen exhibiting irrational behavior,” the statement reads in part.
