Since 2007, March 21 has been designated as World Down Syndrome Day. The 21st of March was chosen to represent the rarity of the triplication of the 21st chromosome, which causes Down syndrome.
Joko Dawoodu Omotola, President of the Association of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, spoke with the ladies about what her organization does for people with Down syndrome and how she has fared as a mother of a child with Down syndrome.
