See Five(5) Nollywood Stars That Quit Banking For Acting

The Nollywood industry is filled with a lot of talented stars who at one time in their lives had a career switch.

Many Nigerian actors never intended to become actors right from the onset, some of them were doing other jobs in either the engineering or finance sectors until they pursued their passion for acting later in life.

To concentrate on those who left the finance industry, here are 5 NOLLYWOOD STARS WHO QUIT BANKING FOR A NOLLYWOOD CAREER.

  1. INI DIMA OKOJIE

The Nollywood actress started her career in the finance industry as an investment banker but she resigned when she decided to pursue her dream of being an entertainer.

This led her to a degree in acting from the New York Film Academy after which she made her debut in Nollywood, first as a production assistant before landing her first role in the television series, Taste of Love.

  1. EBELE OKARO

The Nollywood actress and film producer worked with an embassy than a bank immediately after Youth service.

She however realized her passion for acting was stronger than her banking job, so she found her way into the Nigerian movie industry and created a name for herself as she is now known as Mama of Nollywood.

  1. BOLANLE NINALOWO

The talented actor studied Accounting at Devry University and Marketing at Keller Graduate School of Management, both in America.

He then began his career in the banking sector as a banker and an accountant before moving back to Nigeria to work with a Nigerian bank.

He then transitioned into the Nigerian movie industry due to his passion for acting and started by producing and acting in a movie titled, Rebirth after which he created a name for himself.

  1. MIKE EZURUONYE

The popular actor studied Accounting at Nnamdi Azikiwe University after which he became a banker.

He however worked for a few years before a friend introduced him to acting which he had a passion for and the moment he started getting more roles, he quit his banking job.

Although she studied nothing related to finance or banking, Eve bagged a bank job after getting her University degree and she became a banker. But in 2008, she had to quit her banking job due to the passion she had for the acting industry and decided to face her acting career squarely.
