Hundreds of corps members trained as Electoral Officers and Assistant Presiding Officers in three Imo Local Government Areas have withdrawn from Saturday’s general elections.
Prof Sylvia Agu, the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Imo, revealed this on Thursday in Owerri while speaking about the commission’s readiness for Saturday’s election.
According to her, the corps members’ withdrawal was motivated by a sense of insecurity
