Actress Simisola Gold has been arrested by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for selling the new naira notes on social media.
According to the ICPC’s spokesperson, Azuka Ogugua, Simisola is helping the commission with it’s findings on the criminal trading of the new naira.
It is so believed that she is collaborating with key elements in the financial service sector diverting newly released notes away from banking halls and payment channels into the ‘black market’.
Following her arrest, the actress’ Twitter has been disabled and her Instagram made private.
Asides from being a Yoruba actress, Simisola Gold is also a serial entrepreneur who is into social media influencing, skincare, and facilitation of visa acquisition.
