We looked into how we can regulate the things we put out on social media while looking into the story of a lady who lost a job opportunity after her prospective female employer found a malicious post about her online.
Twitter user, @Accoid who shared the story online said a female friend had reached out to her to help find her sister a job in her company and when she ran a search on the sibling’s handle, she found malicious stories written against her. Her tweet reads
”A frnd sent me CV of her sibling 4 placement. I said tell applicant to DM me, here’s my twitter handle. Applicant said I’m on private/probably blocked. I went in search myself from applicants handle, I read the story of my olosho job and how I’ve been sleeping with ppls husband.”

The ladies also shared different ways they have been trolled online and how they managed them.
Nihmatallah Akashat Zibiri, reacting to the story said “you can conveniently sit behind your keypad now without a face forgetting that your facelessness will not be so useful for so long. Some people continue to act so recklessly on social media, especially the G-Z and I don’t know why.
Anything that empowers you can humble you according to my belief because it can be taken and twisted anything at all in life. Your time is now so when you are in that time of power don’t forget your weakness.”
Sharing how she met two of her trolls, Morayo Brown said, “Interestingly, I met two of my trolls, I know them, they don’t that I know it’s them but I know them.
One is my husband’s friend or family member and I know the person handles it. I don’t talk to the person or engage but I know they will come to me for something and I already have in my mind that this is the kind of person the person is. Not like I won’t help him or her when they come for help but I know how my enemy is.
The second person is a family member and many years ago she tweeted something against me and I know it was her and when we saw, I acted as if nothing happened.
