Congratulations are in order for our very own, Nigerian singer/songwriter Tems and of course, Rihanna who was nominated at the Golden Globe for Best Original Score in a motion picture for ‘Life Me Up’ off Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack.
Celebrating the nomination, Rihanna tweeted, “God be showing out!” while replying to the Golden Globe Nominations: Original Song – Motion Picture nomination post by Variety.
While Tems on the other hand wrote, “My God!! this one is too much.” in a reply to Marvel Studio’s nominations post.
Just so you know, Tems was nominated for the award alongside Rihanna, Ludwig Goransson, and Ryan Coogler, who were all significant contributors to the song.
Tems co-wrote the song, which was performed by Rihanna. The record paid tribute to Chadwick Boseman, who played a lead role in the franchise before he died in 2020 after a battle with colon cancer.
The 2023 Golden Globe Award which is the 80th is scheduled to hold on the 11th of January, 2023 at the Beverley Hilton in California and it will be hosted by American stand-up comedian/actor, Jerrod Carmichael.
