Just like we expected, Squid Game actor, O Yeong-su will go on trial in February 2023 for charges of indecent assault after he was accused of touching a woman.
Squid Game Actor To Go On Trial In February
The actor was recently indicted over the allegations, where a woman originally filed a complaint against him in December 2021, but the case was closed in April without filing charges.
The prosecutor’s office in Suwon, south of the capital of Seoul, however, reopened the case and investigated the allegations, which O Yeong-su has consistently denied.
Just so you know, the woman accused the Squid Game actor of making unwanted physical contact during a meeting in 2017. But he denied any wrongdoing, telling a reporter from JTBC that he held the woman’s hands to show her the way as they walked around a lake.
According to JTBC, the actor had offered the woman an apology last year, not because he acknowledged the accusations against him, but because the woman allegedly told him she wouldn’t raise an issue about the incident if he did.
If you would recall, O Yeong-su portrayed the oldest contestant (001) in Netflix’s South Korean survival drama television series, Squid Game.
