Former United States President, Barack Obama has shared his playlist for the year 2022 and three Nigerian songs made the list.
Burna Boy’s ‘Last Last’, Ayra Star’s ‘Rush’, and Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ were among the songs on the playlist.
Barack Obama shared his playlist on his social media pages, writing, “I always enjoy sharing my end of year music playlist with all of you — and this year we heard a lot of great songs. Here are some of my favorites. Are there any songs or artists I should check out?”
Beyonce, Lizzo, Koffee, SZA, Kendrick Lamar, among other artistes’ song also made the twenty-five yearly playlist.
Just so you know, Barack Obama also publishes a summer playlist, which includes both topical songs and oldies, but only a half-dozen of the artistes he included from his mid-year favorites list made it to his end-of-2022 roundup.
The former president also shared his favorite movies of the year; some of which includes, Everything Everywhere All at Once, The Fabelmans, Top Gun: Maverick, The Woman King, Decision to Leave, and others.
