American actress, Nia Long has for the first time officially opened up about the infidelity scandal that rocked her relationship with her fiancé, and basketball coach, Ime Udoka.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Nia recalled the moment in September saying, “I literally felt like my heart had jumped out of my body.”
She stated that the recent events have been devastating for their eleven-year-old son, Kez, whom she took out of school as news of the scandal emerged.
She further slammed the Boston Celtics basketball club for how the organization handled the fallout of her fiancé Ime Udoka’s suspension and affair.
Nia Long said, “I think the most heartbreaking thing about all of this was seeing my son’s face when the Boston Celtics organization decided to make a very private situation public.
“It was devastating, and it still is. He still has moments where it’s not easy for him. If you’re in the business of protecting women — I’m sorry, no one from the Celtics organization has even called to see if I’m OK, to see if my children are OK. It’s very disappointing.”
This is however coming after the actress recently shared a picture of a new apartment in a now-deleted post on Instagram.
Nia Long showed off a partial view of a kitchen and living room area in what seems to be her new apartment with the caption, “Thankful for the gift of new places and spaces”
