Famous Nigerian musician, Oladapo Oyebanjo popularly known by his stage name D’banj or Kokomaster has been arrested and detained by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related Offences Commission (ICPC).
D’banj has been accused of fraudulently diverting millions meant for the N-power project, an empowerment program set up by the Nigerian government to address youth unemployment.
According to premium times, the musician had been asked to show up for interrogations several times but he gave excuses for hosting concerts abroad. He was cornered by the ICPC and forced to surrender himself at their headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday.
Reports from the daily post said his close associate Yankee denied his arrest he said, “I’m aware he was invited and not arrested, the person they are looking for is his business partner”
