Former disk jockey and co-producer of the Ellen DeGeneres TV show, Stephen Boss, popularly known as ‘tWitch’ has died at the age of 40.
Boss’s wife, Allison Holker made a report to a Los Angeles police station that the disk jockey left home without his vehicle, an occurrence which she claimed was unusual.
Afterwards, paramedics were alerted for a medical emergency at the Oak Tree Inn in Encino, California, just a fourteen-minute walk from his home where Stephen was eventually found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Staff at the motel, however, told TMZ that he did not seem visibly upset when he arrived the previous night with just a small overnight bag.
The celebrity dancer worked in the movie and music industries as a dancer and choreographer before landing a spot as guest DJ on Ellen Degeneres’ show in 2014, which led to a permanent spot as a co-host and co-producer until the show ceased production in May 2022. He also acted in the popular dance movie franchise, ‘Step Up’, where he played the role of Jason.
In a statement shared with TMZ, Holker described the deceased as the best husband and best father to their three children.
Tributes have since been pouring in on social media from celebrities.
