Music streaming giant, Spotify has just announced this year’s edition of Wrapped, its hotly anticipated annual round-up of the top artistes and music of the year as streamed by users around the world.

And this year’s data paints a picture of how Nigerian music captured hearts, both at home and around the world.

Topping the list this year is the African Giant, Burna Boy who claims the number-one spot as the most streamed artiste in Nigeria.

It didn’t end there, as he is also the most globally streamed artiste from Sub-Saharan Africa, while his song ‘Last Last’ also takes the crown for the most streamed song in Nigeria and his album, Love, Damini became the most streamed album in Nigeria for the year 2022.

Still talking about Burna Boy, Apple Music also released their list of the top songs and albums for 2022, and Burna Boy’s ‘Love, Damini’ album emerged as the most streamed album in Nigeria.

Just so you know, that album is also the most streamed on Apple Music Ghana and Apple Music Kenya in 2022. It’s also the third most streamed album on Apple Music South Africa in 2022.
