Wellness coach / Recipe developer, Boma Harry, made it known during her interview that One of the biggest advantages of eating whole foods is that you’re getting the natural synergy of all of these nutrients together.
Talking about the advantages of taking whole food which coach Boma described as real food (Food from the soil), it is important to do away with artificially made food or food that nutrients have been taken out of.
Whole foods are foods that are either not processed at all, or processed minimally.
Whole food includes
- Yam
- Beans
- Local White Rice
- Whole Grain
- Nuts and Seeds
- Fruit and Vegetable
- legumes
The term “artificial” generally refers to ingredients or foods created to imitate nature, such as certain colourings or flavours. For example, food scientists developed artificial raspberry flavour to mimic the taste of real raspberries
Examples of artificial food include
- Packaged pasta
- Instant Noodles
- Junks
Pasta is a type of food typically made from an unleavened dough of wheat flour mixed with water or eggs and formed into sheets or other shapes, then cooked by boiling or baking.
Pasta is made from grain, one of the basic food groups in a healthy diet that also can include vegetables, fruits, fish, and poultry. It’s a good source of energy and can give you fibre, too, if it’s made from whole grain. That can help with stomach problems and may help lower cholesterol.
However, all the fibre has been taken out of the pasta and other chemicals added to it which makes it not healthy for consumption.
