A Nigerian woman residing abroad says at some point in the life of a Nigerian living in the diaspora, they realize that people back home value their money more than their presence.
In a Twitter thread shared on her handle @General_Oluchi, she opined that some relatives living in Nigeria are too greedy, that all they care about is the money one sends home and not the person’s wellbeing.
The ladies today talked about the various expectations family members have especially to those who have gone to seek ‘greener pastures’ abroad. Every call tends to be a request for one financial need or the other. This begs the question, have we then lost our human connections?
