Australian actress Rebel Wilson has announced that she has become a mother to a little girl.
The Pitch Perfect actress revealed the exciting news in an Instagram post that she welcomed a daughter, Royce Lillian, via surrogate.
Rebel wrote, “Beyond proud to announce the birth of my first child, Royce Lillian, born this past week via surrogate. I can’t even describe the love I have for her, she’s a beautiful miracle!
I am forever grateful to everyone who has been involved, (you know who you are), this has been years in the making… but particularly wanted to thank my gorgeous surrogate who carried her and birthed her with such grace and care.
Thank you for helping me start my own family, it’s an amazing gift. The BEST gift!! I am ready to give little Royce all the love imaginable. I am learning quickly…much respect for all the Mums out there! Proud to be in your club.”
Royce is Rebel’s first child, and she also shared a glimpse of a baby shower with a photo posted to her Instagram stories.
In May 2021, Rebel shared that she was struggling with fertility issues and had previously gone on the record about her desire to have children.
In 2020, she revealed that she planned on freezing her eggs and in an interview with E! Online in November of that year, she also stated that she deals with polycystic ovary syndrome. Massive congratulations to her.
