American rapper Takeoff of the hip-hop group, Migos has passed on following a shootout in Houston over a dice game.
According to sources, Takeoff was shot at a bowling alley in Houston where he and Quavo were playing dice around 2:30 AM Houston time.
It was reported that Takeoff and Quavo were engaged in the dice game with a few others when an altercation began. At some point during that, someone opened fire, and Takeoff was shot in or near the head.
It was initially reported that his fellow Migos rapper, Quavo, was also shot but that has been refuted.
Takeoff, 28, was however pronounced dead at the scene, while two other people who got shot were taken to hospital, while Quavo was unharmed.
Confirming the news, Take Off’s management company, Quality Control Music, in a statement wrote, “It is with broken hearts and deep sadness that we confirm the loss of our beloved brother Kirsnick Khari Ball, known to the world as Takeoff.
Senseless violence and a stray bullet have taken another life from this world and we are devastated. Please respect his family and friends as we all continue to process this monumental loss. Kirsnick Khari Ball. June 18, 1994 – November 1, 2022.”
Just so you know, Takeoff, Quavo, and Cardi B’s husband Offset make up the rap group Migos and they are blood relatives.
