In this segment, we reviewed “HOW WE DESTROY NIGERIA; PRECEDENCE OF DOOM” by John Walker Adetunji-Adeoye; a seasoned speechwriter, historian, media practitioner and private investigator.

With over a decade of speechwriting, media and public relations engagements in the entertainment, social and political circles, Johnny was able to interact with key sociopolitical actors of Nigeria, especially regarding the development of the two books.

His book, HOW WE DESTROY NIGERIA: PRECEDENCE OF DOOM is the first part of a two-volume book detailing the chaos of the Nigerian state.

It is a book chronicling the different attacks launched by Nigerians against their own country. Those attacks preceded the country’s formation and continue up to this day.

As stated, the pre-colonial rulers of various societies and their cronies plunged their people into doom, darkness, slavery, woes, blood and violence.

This book details the various roles of the country’s founders, rulers and state actors and the devastating results of their activities, affecting every citizen to this day. This book is a prequel to HOW WE DESTROY NIGERIA: HAVEN FOR FINANCIAL CRIMES AND CORRUPTION.

According to John Walker Adetunji-Adeoye, the word ‘destroy’ was chosen carefully because it is something that is present and continues and it’s something we can fix. He claimed that he was careful in choosing that word because we can still choose Nigeria.

I know Nigeria for who we are and I didn’t want to be economical with the truth but say things exactly as it is. No Nigerian should be happy with the way things are today and we are the ones contributing to the state of things.
