American rapper, movie and TV show producer, Curtis Jackson popularly known as 50 Cent has just revealed his plans to make a television series based on the story of convicted Nigerian internet fraudster and social media influencer, Ramon Abbas, a.k.a Hushpuppi.
The rapper who is famed for producing hit TV series like Power, Power Book II, and Power Book III: Raising Kanan, amongst others, made the announcement on his Instagram page.
50 Cent posted some throwback pictures of the convicted fraudster with the caption, “For my scammers I gotta do this one, Hushpuppy series coming soon! GLG, GreenLightGang I don’t miss.”
If you would recall, Hushpuppi pleaded guilty to the fraud charges filed against him during a U.S trial, after his arrest in Dubai.
He was also handed eleven years and three months jail term, which will see him remain locked up for nine more years, having already spent two years behind bars. He is also expected to pay one point seven million dollars to two of his fraud victims.
Just so you know, prior to this 50 Cent’s move, Universal Pictures, Will Packer Productions, and Mo Abudu’s EbonyLife acquired the rights to the 2021 Bloomberg article, “The Fall of the Billionaire Gucci Master,” which is about Hushpuppi.
