It’s woman crush Wednesday, and our crush today is none other than our very own Nse Ikpe-Etim!!!
Nse is a Nigerian actress, writer, professional chef, and lover of the arts. She is one of the few Nigerian actresses who did not rush into the movie industry for the peeks and incentives it offers, as it was her true passion for acting that led her into the Nigerian Nollywood industry.
She started acting on stage while in university at the early age of 18. She first appeared on TV where she featured in the family soap, ‘Inheritance’, before she went full-time into Nollywood, with her breakthrough role in Emem Isong’s ‘Reloaded’ in 2008.
It’s safe to say the Nollywood screen diva is one actress that understands her craft well, as she rocks her movie roles effortlessly and makes you believe the character she’s playing into reality.
She has several movies to her credit, some of which include; Phone Swap, The Meeting, Small Chops, Fifty, Mr. and Mrs., A Trip to Jamaica, American Driver, Quam’s Money, King of Boys: The Return of the King, Glamour Girls, amongst others.
She is also the recipient of several awards including;
- Best Actress Film/Short Story at the 2010 Nigeria Entertainment Awards,

- Best Actress in a Leading role (English) at 2015 Best of Nollywood Awards,
- Best Actress at the 2015 Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards, to mention a few.
She once hosted a TV program, ‘My Fertility Path’ on EbonyLife TV. A show she held close to her heart as it addresses diverse topics surrounding infertility with the intent of sharing real stories about infertility, the struggles, victories, and treatments if available.
Nse married her childhood friend, Clifford Sule on February 14, 2013, and she resides in London with her husband but frequents Nigeria for film engagements.
She is definitely a talented actress whose contribution to the screen world is very significant, but just like every other person, she has her moments as regards her personal life, plus she has definitely made her mark in the Nigerian movie industry and it does not look like she is going away anytime soon.
