Parenting is the process of raising children and providing them with protection and care in order to ensure their healthy development into adulthood.
Parenting promotes and supports the physical, emotional, social, spiritual and intellectual development of a child from infancy to adulthood
According to Femi, raising a female child for global relevance shows that you have raised your girl child to be able to fit in any space in any nation of the world.
So how then do you raise up your girl child to be globally relevant?
You have to give out girl child a global perspective on matters and let them know the differences in religion but one is not superior to the other.
Gender equality, ensure that they know and learn the role and importance of gender equality. Let them do things without being gender biased and have a broad perspective on matters.
Things you need to teach your girlchild
- Teach them to speak up for themselves, it is very important. In the global space, there is no limitation to what or how you can air your view.
People tend to accept your view and critically look into it to check how it will fit into the larger picture without even checking one gender. If it is going to work, it is accepted. If your own opinion is relevant, then it is okay.
2. Teach them leadership. Get them a leadership coach to enable them to be bold and relevant.
3. Understand that the world is changing and be acquainted with the change. If it’s not being practised in your country, it doesn’t mean it’s not practised elsewhere.
