Naira Marley Reacts To Mohbad’s Alleged Assault Video

Mohbad, an artiste under Marlian Music, a record label owned by rapper Naira Marley, has cried out for help after allegedly being assaulted at the record label’s house.

In tweets he shared, Mohbad showed off sad clips of his bloodied body which he claimed were a result of the assault he suffered at the hands of the Marlian crew after he requested to change his manager who happens to be a member of the Marlian family.

Mohbad took to his Twitter account to share the clips of his bloodied body with the caption, “Just because I want to change my manager who is their brother, see what they did to me at Marlian House.”

Also seemingly disputing his record label’s past claim of him being intoxicated each time they had a public faceoff on his alleged propensity for high drug usage, Mohbad stated that he wasn’t intoxicated when all these happened.

He tweeted, “I’m not high oo cos that’s what dey always say just to die down everything. World pls help me oo, I’m dying inside. I’m not intoxicated, but I’ve just been diagnosed as an emergency hypertensive patient.

“I’m not on drugs or drinks and my life is at stake. I’m still getting threats. I’m at the hospital for a CT Scan for head impact and chest X-ray as a result of the assault. I had the meeting clearheaded and without any drug influence too.”

Marlian Records Boss Naira Marley has now responded to the video posted by Mohbad by hosting a live Instagram session where he narrated what transpired with Mohbad.

According to him, Mohbad arrived at the Marley house thoroughly intoxicated from an unidentifiable stimulant which is known to make him aggressive. He also revealed that Mohbad had a misunderstanding with his Manager called Tunde whom he wanted to change. Naira Marley however stated that he never objected to the managerial change and that Tunde was not his brother as Mohbad claimed.

Naira Marley went on to narrate how Mohbad sought Tunde out to fight him and all effort to restrain him was resisted. He also revealed that Mohbad repeatedly bit one of the people who tried to restrain him.

Mohbad responded to the video tweeting, “It’s all lies. Everything he said on the live video is a blatant lie. This isn’t the first time. The last video was made out to look like I was high or overreacting. My life is being severely threatened.”

Naira Marley also revealed that the public shouldn’t worry about Mohbad’s claim as he had a history of acting irrationally when high. He further revealed that the issue is an in-house one and it will be resolved amicably within the label.

He tweeted, “All issues will be resolved amicably within the label. Mohbad has a history of getting intoxicated which affects his emotions and actions. #ImNotPerfect However, all issues would be resolved amicably within the record label.”

According to news emerging from different corners of both camps, Mohbad has been trying to free himself from his contract at Marlian record and this didn’t sit well with the record label.

According to reports, the effort to walk away from his contract has led to bad blood between Mohbad and Marlian record with the latest assault on the former being a result of the existing issues.
