Following claims of his messy and irrational behaviour, American actor, Ezra Miller has finally entered a not-guilty plea after the burglary incident in Vermont.
The actor who has been involved in various scandals pleaded not guilty during a virtual court appearance earlier this week led by Judge Kerry Ann McDonald-Cady.
And due to that move, Ezra Miller risks facing a maximum sentence of twenty-six years behind bars if convicted.
Just so you know, the Flash actor had been charged with felony burglary after allegedly taking several bottles of alcohol from home while it was empty.
Ezra Miller has been accused of everything ranging from burglary, abduction, assault, grooming a child, and more, the crazy part is that they didn’t lose their role as The Flash.
Someone who is probably not impressed with that situation is American actress, writer, and producer, Issa Rae who feels her industry, Hollywood continues to protect offenders.
She made this known in an interview with Elle, saying “While I don’t support people jumping to immediate conclusions and I think it’s entirely fair for investigations to happen, I think it’s extremely important to, like the mantra says, ‘Listen to women,’ I’m gonna be real, the stuff that’s happening with Ezra Miller is, to me, a microcosm of Hollywood.
“There’s this person who’s a repeat offender, who’s been behaving atrociously, and as opposed to shutting them down and shutting the production down, there’s an effort to save the movie and them.”
Issa Rae added, “That is a clear example of the lengths that Hollywood will go to save itself and to protect offenders, so, don’t do that, and women may be able to thrive.
“They won’t have to live in fear of keeping silent because it’ll ruin their careers. It’s just a constant pattern of abuse that’ll only persist if Hollywood continues to insist on being this way.”
