At the SDP area of Kwamba in the Suleja LGA of Niger State, a man named Adeniyi Jose killed himself after strangling his wife, Chidinma Gloria Ibeh to death
Jose, who passed away on Wednesday, is believed to have consumed a substance that was likely Sniper. He was brought to the Suleja General Hospital but was pronounced dead there.
According to his neighbours, Jose had been questioning his wife’s commitment to their marriage throughout the years.
A neighbour said, “Jose had always been a jealous husband and picked fights with his wife whenever he saw her talking to any man.’’
Jose allegedly looked through his wife’s cell phone on the day he killed her.
According to reports, the deceased wife, a registrar at the Suleja General Hospital, was the family’s primary source of income because the husband’s herbal medicine business failed and left him jobless.
While the late Chidinma was from Imo State, the late Jose was from Ondo State. In 2014, the deceased couple got married and welcomed a son.
The incident was confirmed by the DPO of Suleja “A,” CSP Michael Katumba, who also said that the state police headquarters in Minna had been informed of the situation.
However, the unfortunate incident is under investigation while we await medical examination results.
