Nigerian singer Kizz Daniel has come out to clear the air following the issues surrounding his arrest over failure to appear at a show in Tanzania.
In an Instagram live-streamed chat with media personality Freeze, Kizz Daniel’s road manager and brother, Folu Anidugbe higNigerian singer Kizz Daniel has come out to clear the air following the issues surrounding his arrest over failure to appear at a show in Tanzania.hlighted the facts surrounding the widely publicized misunderstanding.
Folu pinpointed the lack of coordination and proper arrangement of the slated event by promoters of the show. He further debunked several allegations making the rounds regarding Kizz Daniel’s late arrival to Tanzania.
He also used the opportunity to deny the claim made by the show promoter Mr Steven Uwa that Kizz Daniel refused to perform due to the unavailability of his clothes or jewellery.
Folu made counterclaims that Steven defaulted on previous agreements and misappropriated the funds meant for the show which led to Kizz Daniel’s inability to perform.
During the Instagram live session, Steven confirmed that he had reached an agreement behind closed doors with Kizz Daniel’s team to reschedule the show before he defaulted on the agreement and involved the police.
When asked by Freeze why he claimed Kizz Daniel insisted that he won’t perform because he didn’t have his gold chain, the show promoter stated that “emotions were high that night”.
When the singer’s brother disclosed that he was not paid in full, Steven claimed that the sixty thousand dollars he said earlier was paid, was not paid to Kizz Daniel directly but to an agency managed by music executive, Paul Okoye.
All of this is also coming after Kizz Daniel had a press conference where he addressed Tanzanian and tendered his apology for missing the show.
Kizz also cleared the air that he was only invited for questioning by the police following the vandalism that his absence caused at the venue.
Kizz Daniel is now set to offer Tanzanians an all-expense covered performance come Friday, 12th August 2022.
