American rapper Fetty Wap has pleaded guilty to one federal count of conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances.
Fetty Wap Pleads Guilty To Federal Drug Charges
According to a representative for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, Fetty Wap pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess and distribute five hundred grams or more of cocaine in a Long Island court.
Federal officials have since announced that the charge carries at least a minimum of five years behind bars.
If you would recall, the ‘Trap Queen’ rapper was one of many that were arrested last year October, as they were accused of distributing cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, and crack cocaine across Long Island and New Jersey.
He was later released on a five hundred thousand dollars’ bond.
There are also six others that were arrested, and they all face one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances, they also face firearms charges except for Fetty Wap.
Just so you know, earlier this month, the rapper was arrested and had his bond revoked after he allegedly displayed a gun and threatened to kill someone during a FaceTime call, which was a violation of the conditions of his pretrial release.
A spokesperson for a federal prosecutor stated that Fetty Wap is still in federal custody after not making a request to be released on bond, as a sentencing date has not been scheduled.
