It is Nigeria music to the world, as rave of the moment, Tems has achieved her first ever solo entry on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with her 2020 song ‘Free Mind’ off her ‘For Broken Ears’ EP.
Free Mind debuts at number ninety on the chart which now makes it Tems fourth appearance on the Billboard following ‘Essence (remix) with Wizkid & Justin Bieber, which peaked at number nine, Drake’s ‘Fountains,’ which peaked at number twenty-six, and most recently ‘Wait for You’ featuring Future and Drake, which peaked at number one.
Tems now shares the title with Wizkid as the only Nigerian musician to have four songs appear on the prestigious Billboard Hot 100 chart

Tems was most recently recognized as a songwriter for the song “Move” on Beyonce’s forthcoming album “Renaissance” using her full name Temilade Openiyi.
Tems also made an appearance on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever album, where she sang a song of Bob Marley’s No, Woman No Cry that featured a sample from Kendrick Lamar’s Alright.
