It is the end of an era in talk show, as the final original episode of The Wendy Williams Show will air this Friday after thirteen years.
This was confirmed by Variety, which reports that the popular daytime show will officially come to an end this Friday without its host.
However, the final episode will consist of a video montage in honor of Wendy, as it will also celebrate the show’s success after first debuting back in 2008.
If you would recall, Wendy Williams has been absent from her talk show since late last year, and even the start of the show’s final season was delayed due to her health conditions.
Due to the various ongoing medical issues, it was later announced that Wendy Williams wouldn’t be returning to her show.
In her absence, a list of guest hosts appeared on the show. One of those guest hosts happens to be Sherri Shepherd, who has since gotten her own show, which will take the place of Wendy’s time slot once it premieres.
