With a title like “More Love, Less Ego,” there’s a lot of things Wizkid could do on that album.
He could decide to do “she tell me say” from A-Z. And he could decide to do conscious music. He could also feature anybody he wants and it wouldn’t be weird. After all, it’s all love.
Wizkid is a very calculated guy. He’s just coming off the colossal success of “Made in Lagos” and he wouldn’t wanna spoil that with an album that won’t sell. So, what he’ll be looking for is selling points.
Already, he’s got some. For one, he’s been linked with a couple of artists, including Mavin stargirl, Ayra Starr, Victony, Omah Lay, Fireboy, and more.
Apparently, he’s made a lot of songs with a lot of artists and just any of that could make the album. He knows what he’s doing for sure. He has also confirmed features with Buju, Ayra Starr, and Naira Marley.
But one thing some wild fans have been fantasizing about lately is the possibility of Wizkid putting Davido on his album. Considering their history, it’s hard to see how that would work. Will Wizkid reach out to him and say “bro, wanna do a song?” or what? It’s hard to imagine those two linking up besides just meeting at the club or something.
But if it could, are there actually fans who would want it to happen? I, for one, don’t honestly care for a collaboration between Wizkid and Davido. Because, I think, the competition is good for the culture. Although, I wouldn’t mind listening to that song.
Still, I sure as hell am not looking forward to the day they link up and do a song. Is anybody looking forward to that though? And what if it could happen with Wizkid’s next album, would anyone actually care for that?
