Public relations officer, Kwara police command, gives an update on the story of a man that flogged his girlfriend and stripped her naked for cheating in Kwara State.
It was confirmed by the Kwara State Police Command that Fatai and three of his other friends who allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, identified as Aduke, over claims that she cheated on him were arrested
Aduke, a student of the Bartholomew College of Health, Kwara State, was said to have been invited to Fatai’s residence.
When Aduke arrived at the house, she met Fatai and his three friends, who started interrogating her.
The friends were said to have accused the undergraduate of cheating, as they grabbed her hands and legs and flogged her.
Giving an update of the matter, The PPRO of the Kwara State Police Command, SP Ajayi Okasanmi said,
“On monday morning we got an information through a friend of the victim that a lady was being molested and was beaten up by her boyfriend and his friends.
“The police went to the scene with about one or two Army men that were around. On getting there, the boys were eventually arrested while the victim who was in severe pain was taken to the hospital for treatment.
“As at now, we have all the five boys in custody and we are preparing them for court. We are also investigating them if they are in anyway connected to any cult and get to know what they actually do for a living
“The accused claimed he is married to the girl, that they did a court wedding and we asked him if the family of the girl were involved in the marriage but he claimed that it was just her friends that came and it was because the lady told him she had no family.
