WITH the declaration of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to vie for the presidency, 35 aspirants have officially joined the race to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.
As of this morning, we have about 40 persons who are vying to become Nigeria’s next president.
There have been several reactions over the ridiculousness of the number of aspirants and the price of nomination forms.
The politicians include some who have openly indicated interest to contest the presidential election, and others who have not indicated interest in the office.
Among the aspirants are more than 29 men and six women including 102-year old Madam Nonye Josephine Ezeanyaeche, also known as ‘living legend’ or “Mama Africa.’
