Nigeria mourns as Gunmen, yesterday struck Anambra state, killed seven persons in various communities and attacked police station and set vehicles ablaze.
The Gunmen were said to have invaded Isulo and Nanka, Orumba North Local Government Area, as well as Abatete in Idemili North LGA.
Among those that were killed was a mother and four of her children at Isulo, Orumba North local government area of the state.
Two other were killed at Abatete in Idemili North local government area while another man was killed at Nanka Orumba North LGA.
According to eyewitnesses, the gunmen stormed those areas and opened fire on the victims and left.
The state police spokesman, Tochukwu Ikenga, in a report said the details of the incidents were incomplete.
Tochukwu added that the command would talk about the incidents when they have gotten a clear picture of what transpired.
However, it was reported that one of the senior police officers who did not want to be quoted confirmed the Isulo incident.
He said that the woman and her children did not look like people from Igboland.
For the other two locations, he allegedly said, “I have not received the signals of those ones.”
