Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has made history as the first Nigerian artiste to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with her feature on Future’s new song ‘Wait for U.’
The track, which also features Drake, is Future’s second Hot 100 lead single, Drake’s 10th, and Tems’ landmark No. 1
‘Wait For U’ gave Future his second appearance on the number one spot. It became the 10th time for Drake to peak at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
However, this is not the first time Tems is making the Hot 100 chart.
Her collaboration with Justin Bieber and Wizkid on ‘Essense’ and her collaboration with Drake on ‘Fountains’ all featured on Hot 100, but this is the first time she is appearing number one.
