Toyosi Adesegun, a girl, has been held by men from the Lagos State Police Command for falsely reporting being k!dnapped and rapǝd on Twitter.
The message, which went viral on Thursday, elicited a wide range of responses from social media users, many of whom expressed concern for her safety.
In a follow-up tweet, Toyosi, on the other hand, admitted that her remark was untrue and apologized.
