The police in Ekiti State have rescued a girl who was abducted three years ago on her way to an extramural lesson in preparation for her Senior Secondary School Examination in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.
The v!ctim, who was 15 at the time of her k!dnapping in March 2019, was carrying an eight-month pregnancy when she was freed on March 15, 2022.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by the Police Public Relations Officer, Sunday Abutu, the state Commissioner of Police, Tunde Mobayo, said the police had detained a woman, Felicia, and her son, Adewumi, in connection with the incident.
