Eguavoen Resigns As Super Eagles Coach After Nigeria Failed To Qualify For 2022 World Cup

Interim teach of the Nigeria Super Eagles, Mr Augustine Eguavoen have resigned from his role as the Technical Adviser of the team.

Eguavoen who who was appointed interim coach for the Super Eagles bin the 2022 World Cup Play-off game towards the Black Stars of Ghana resigned on Thursday morning after failing to take the super Eagles team her seventh World Cup appearance.

Eguavoen resigned as Super Eagles Technical Adviser and will return to his position as Technical Director of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.

His function as Technical Director oversees all technical troubles regarding all countrywide teams.

Nigeria failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup on Tuesday after the Black Stars of Ghana held them to a 1-1 draw at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja

Since making her debut in 1994 edition, this is the 2nd time the Super Eagles will now not be in the FIFA World Cup after falling out in 2006 Japan/Korea.
