Air Peace has denied reports that it disrespected both the Emir of Kano and the people of the state.
Mrs Toyin Olajide, Chief Operating Officer of Air Peace Ltd, explained the incident that led to the comments by one Isa Bayero, who allegedly accused the airline of not delaying a flight for the Emir, in a statement issued on Friday.
The flight to Kano was scheduled to depart at 6:15 a.m., but the Emir and his entourage were said to be still at Lagos International Airport after arriving from Banjul, Gambia.
According to a statement, delaying the flight would have caused “a very serious uproar in the media nationwide against both the airline and the Emir”.
