With the rise and somewhat global acceptance of the Nigerian sound, ‘Afrobeats’, one could only wish for the longevity of what is been enjoyed now as the world is listening to our music.

We have individual Nigerian music superstars that are now in major music conversations across borders, but have we ever imagined what will happen if these musical geniuses decide to merge their respective talents, and come up with a music collaboration that will showcase Nigerian excellence to an attentive global audience?

  • Ckay and Fireboy

Imagine a song with Ckay and Fireboy? With Ckay love Nwantiti doing wonders on various platforms and billboards and Fireboy’s Peru doing the same, a collaboration from them will do wonders.

 

  • Burnaboy and Davido

To begin the year, Burnaboy revealed in a series of his last posts for 2021 that his rivalry with DMW boss, Davido is over.

Though the self-acclaimed African Giant and Davido have collaborated before on Burnaboy’s 2011 project, Trumpet – from ‘Best of Burn Series Vol1’.

With the duos global stardom now, a new collaboration between these superstars will not only crack the chart in Nigeria but will do well globally.

There seems to be no music conversation if one is asked who are the females representing the Nigerian Music Industry right now without one mentioning Ayra Starr and Tems.

With the release of Ayra Starr’s first EP, ‘Ayra Starr’ and Debut album, ’19 and Dangerous’, you can tell that the Marvin record artist is not here to play.

Tems on the other hand is also a force following her smash hit collaboration with Wizkid on ‘Essence’ and her feature on a track on Drake’s album titled ‘Fountain’, and also the release of her viral EP, ‘If Orange Was A Place’.

  • Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage

We can only imagine what a collaboration between these two queens will sound like. Going by how super talented and versatile they are in an era where female power is often talked about.

Referred to as one of the craziest musical rivalries in Nigeria, a collaboration between these two superstars will indeed shake the music industry home and abroad.

Recall in 2007 when Wizkid and Davido graced each other stages at their respective December concert which had the hopes of many music lovers on the high side and that was it.

Faced with their crazy loyal fan base, ’30BG and Wizkid FC’, their achievement,  musical growth and over-a-decade-of-dominance, one can only wish and pray that we get a Davido and Wizkid collaboration soon.
