It was a night of glitz and glamour for the American music industry as the MTV Video Music Awards took place at the Barclays Center, Brooklyn, with Doja Cat hosting the ceremony.
Justin Bieber led this year’s list of nominees with seven nods, followed by Megan Thee Stallion with six nods. Billie Eilish, BTS, Doja Cat, Drake, Giveon, Lil Nas X, and Olivia Rodrigo, a first-time nominee, each earned five nominations.
The biggest win of the night, video of the year went to Lil Nas X’s “Montero (Call Me By Your Name), he also won Best Direction and Best Visual Effects, all for the same video “Montero (Call Me by Your Name).”
