Instagram says 37-year-old alleged fraudster Ramon Abbas popularly known as Hushpuppi can continue using his account.
According to Dubai-based The National, Instagram declared Hushpuppi free to continue using his social media account. It said the Nigerian did not violate the social media platform’s laws
Instagram told The National it had well-established processes with law enforcement.
This include a policy on “inmate takedown requests” for prisoners active on social media.
Instagram said accounts are usually closed if they represent dangerous organisations or individuals. Huspuppi will be free to continue to use the site unless law enforcement in the US where he is facing trial rules otherwise.
Hushpuppi, 37, has 2.5 million followers and last posted on June 6, 2020 same month he was arrested.
Hushpuppi until his arrest, lived a luxury lifestyle on the gram.
